OUR TEAM

Eugene Frenkel

Chief Executive Officer

Eugene Frenkel is the Founder and CEO of the Legacy Group of Companies, a family office and investment management firm. He is also a managing partner of Path Venture Partners, a private investment fund concentrating on mid and late-stage growth companies. Focused equally on service to his clients and his community, he serves as a Director of the Finker-Frenkel Family Foundation. He is Vice-Chairman of Make-A-Wish Southern Florida and a Board Member of the University of Miami School of Business.

Additionally, Eugene sits on the Executive Board of Trustees at Mount Sinai and is a member of the Mayo Clinic Leadership Council. Eugene holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Florida and an MBA in International Business and Marketing from the University of Miami.

Jason Hathaway

Chief Investment Officer

Jason Hathaway is the chief investment officer at Legacy Wealth Advisors. Jason brings more than 15 years of experience in public equity, private equity and venture capital investing to the team. He focuses primarily on sourcing and evaluating private investment opportunities across all stages and sectors, including direct investments into private companies as well as institutional fund opportunities, such as private equity, venture capital, hedge funds and structured products.

Previously, Jason spent almost a decade at Williams Capital Advisors, LLC, a boutique investment bank based in Palo Alto, California. As a partner at the firm, he was responsible for all aspects of deal sourcing, due diligence, negotiation, structuring and definitive documentation, and he completed M&A and financing transactions across a wide range of industries. Prior to joining WCA, Jason was an investment professional at Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in Los Angeles, where his responsibilities included structuring debt and equity transactions, investment due diligence and providing strategic guidance to portfolio companies. Earlier in his career, he also held investment banking roles at The Royal Bank of Scotland (Leveraged Finance Group), Lehman Brothers (Financial Institutions Group), & Piper Jaffray (Consumer M&A Group). He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Pomona College. Jason also holds a variety of securities licenses, including Series 7, 24, 63, 65 and 79.

Jeffrey H. Rehm

Partner

Jeffrey H. Rehm is a partner and director of investments for the Legacy Group of Companies at Hightower, where he is responsible for strategic portfolio allocations and investment manager analysis.

Mr. Rehm has more than 20 years of experience in financial markets. For the past 15 years, he has built a career helping high-net-worth families design, implement and monitor custom investment portfolios structured around their individual goals.

Prior to joining Legacy, Mr. Rehm was a senior wealth advisor at a boutique private bank in South Florida. He began his career on Wall Street working for Liberty Brokerage, an institutional bond trading firm, before transitioning to a role on Lehman Brothers’ middle-market trading and sales team, where he focused on equities and convertible bonds. In 2001, Mr. Rehm left Wall Street to global equities for a Singapore-based hedge fund, and he later moved to Washington D.C. to join Lydian Wealth Management as an investment analyst. Mr. Rehm has a Bachelor of Science in financial economics and biology from Fordham University and holds the Series 7 & 66 licenses. When he is not at work, he is actively chauffeuring his children from soccer field to soccer field or volunteering as an active member of the finance and investment committee at Rosarian Academy.

Robert M. Hebble

Managing Partner

Robert M. Hebble is the managing partner for the Legacy Group of Companies. With more than 25 years of legal experience in estate, gift and income tax planning, Mr. Hebble is committed to helping individuals and their families prepare for the future. Mr. Hebble is responsible for providing guidance to affluent and high-net-worth clients, their families and their businesses. He works with clients to create estate strategies that focus on tax-efficiency, philanthropy and wealth preservation.

Prior to joining Legacy Wealth Advisors, Mr. Hebble served as chief fiduciary officer and director of estate planning of two Miami-based regional private banks. Previously, he was the founder and principal of a boutique law firm located in New York City. He represented and acted as counsel to high-net-worth families, their businesses and family offices. Such matters included gift and estate planning, business succession planning, charitable planning and planning for wealth protection. He has served in numerous instances as trustee, executor and board member of private foundations and other entities.

Mr. Hebble earned his Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law. He also holds a Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law, as well as a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Mr. Hebble is a frequent speaker to professionals and clients on various planning and tax subjects. Previously, he was admitted to the New York, New Jersey and Georgia state bars and the United States Tax Court. He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Estate Planning Council of Greater Miami.

Aaron Newman

Director

Aaron Newman is a director for the Legacy Group of Companies. With a background in operations, business analysis and project management, Aaron’s role integrates the financial and operational components of our advisory business. Aaron focuses on client service delivery and management of our business operations.

After working as a consultant for a large international organization and subsequently for a US based HRM Software Company, Aaron joined Legacy in 2015. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Miami, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business and Japanese from San Jose State. Aaron is an active volunteer with Feeding America and His House Miami an organization dedicated to restoring the lives of children and families.

Bobby McNally

Director

Bobby McNally is a director for the Legacy Group of Companies. In this role, he focuses on client service delivery and is also responsible for managing Legacy’s custodial and reporting relationships, internal compliance, KYC administration, onboarding and investment execution. 

Prior to joining Legacy, Mr. McNally worked for a boutique financial institution, based in Orlando, Florida, which focuses on providing regulatory and due diligence services to large multi-national investment banks for their municipal securities disclosure. In this role, Mr. McNally focused primarily on providing a full range of compliance services to clients, while also performing additional services, such as contract drafting.

Mr. McNally earned his Juris Doctor degree, Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Florida. He is a member of the Florida Bar.

Raul Cabrera

Director

Raul Cabrera is the lifestyle management director at the Legacy Group of Companies. Providing lifestyle and concierge services to wealthy individuals and families, Mr. Cabrera works with clients and their advisors to deliver a variety of bespoke services tailored to their preferred level of assistance and personal requirements. 

Prior to joining Legacy in 2015, Mr. Cabrera worked as a private personal assistant to a prominent South Florida family. He began his career in hospitality working at a high-end boutique hotel in Miami Beach. Mr. Cabrera brings substantial experience in travel and destination management, entertainment, health & wellness, physical asset management and overall client lifestyle management. Mr. Cabrera holds a degree in business administration from Miami-Dade College. Mr. Cabrera is an active volunteer with many charitable organizations, including the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Best Buddies International and Hope for a Healthier Humanity.

Nina Rivay

Associate

Nina Rivay is an associate at the Legacy Group of Companies. In this role, Ms. Rivay provides support to Legacy’s executive staff while maintaining client services and overall environment. With several years of international experience throughout public and private sectors, Ms. Rivay tailors her skills to meet the needs of our clients.

Previously, Ms. Rivay worked with a business and immigration law firm specialized in developing business plans and corporate structures for legal integration to the United States. Prior to this, Ms. Rivay worked in the economic-political section of the U.S. Embassy to Belgium in Brussels. In this role she served as delegation support to different agencies in the European Union. Earlier in her career, Ms. Rivay spent time with the United Nations in Panama, developing public-private partnerships and communication strategies for The Americas region.

Ms. Rivay earned her bachelor’s degree in international relations from Florida International University and is currently working towards her master’s degree. She enjoys traveling and is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
